On behalf of Epicurus, Jonk, and Brolan Vastgoed, Architekten Cie. and TANGRAM are jointly involved in the development of a new residential area with over 180 homes and associated facilities along Purmerenderweg in Zuidoostbeemster. The location is situated in the Beemster polder, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which serves as the starting point for the plan. The layout follows the historic, fine-grained polder structure of ditches and meadows, resulting in a varied housing offering. A compact village square with shops, healthcare facilities, and homes forms the heart of the new neighborhood—truly embodying ‘community spirit in the polder.’
The plan demonstrates how heritage and diverse, location-specific living quality go hand in hand. Architekten Cie. and TANGRAM will be responsible for developing parts of the plan, while a third portion will be designed by Faro Architects, known for their distinctive approach to ground-level housing with great variety and atmosphere.
Development work will commence in the third quarter of 2025.
