We are specialized in intelligent urban intensification with projects that are functionally mixed. At complex locations in the densely built-up city, where we have to take into account existing situations, resident participation, public space, sustainability, infrastructure and existing buildings.
Compact builing and smart use of space offers opportunities for creating an attractive residential, work and living environment. Tackled well, it strengthens the vitality and quality of city life and saves the precious natural surroundings.

In our opinion, the most important solutions lie in the transition zone of urban design and architecture. Tangram has extensive experience in both scales. We are also a pioneer in the field of social, social and economic sustainability in the built-up environment.

Research is the basis of everything we do. We like to think ahead: how do we make the built-up environment future-proof and therefore valuable? This investigative approach also means that our plans are always location specific.

In short:

  • We help to create extra value by designing buildings in a flexible and future-oriented way so that the market value remains high, even when demand changes.
  • We ensure that a project in the neighborhood really lands, becomes part of it.
  • We take the time to understand wishes and visions and make them reality.

And yes, we love innovative solutions, are multidisciplinary and can often realize more than asked. We deliver better value for the same money …

Our clients are municipalities, counties, the central government, developers, healthcare centers, housing associations and private clients.

Important parties for research projects include various municipalities, provinces and the central government (Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment [now the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment] and the Central Government Real Estate Agency).

We work closely with NGOs such as environmental group Natuur en Milieu and Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth) and various political parties – in order to contribute to the design of consistent visions of the built environment.
