As part of the Tech for Society series, an evening dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Architecture will take place on November 19, 2024, at 20:00 in Pakhuis de Zwijger. Building on the themes explored in the exhibition Immeasurably Important, this event will delve into the intersection of AI and the built environment—examining not only what AI is capable of but also its current limitations.
Key questions to be addressed include: How can AI technologies support architects in designing buildings and cities? What are the ethical and social implications of AI-driven processes in construction and urban planning? And how can we maintain a balance between human creativity and technological innovation?
In addition to Bart Mispelblom Beyer, the following speakers and organizations will contribute to the discussion:
- Indira van ‘t Klooster – Director of Arcam
- Amy Sterrenberg – PhD Researcher in AI-driven Infrastructure Life-Cycle Extension
- Ron Bakker – Co-founder of PLP Architecture
We invite you to join us for an insightful exploration of AI’s evolving role in architecture and urban development.
