What an inspiring event it was at Theater de Vest with AI Alkmaar! On May 1st, the exhibition “Immeasureably Important” was officially opened with great interest from professionals, students, scientists, and clients, by Alderman Jasper Nieuwenhuizen of the Municipality of Alkmaar. The exhibition invites visitors into a space where the boundaries between human creativity and technological progress blur, and where architecture and artificial intelligence converge to shape the future.

“Immeasureably Important” is more than just an exploration of innovation; it is an invitation to reflect more deeply on the “soft” values that shape our living environment. The exhibition aims to raise awareness and confronts us with the crucial responsibility of helping develop and apply technology holistically, particularly as architects, urban planners, and landscape designers. At the heart of our pursuit of progress lies an essential question: How can we use technology, especially AI, not only to meet economic and spatial efficiency but also to create deeply human, emotional, and sustainably responsible architecture? Will the architect be able to continue their work, and how will this evolve?

TANGRAM showcases several buildings they have designed to explain their approach to architecture before taking the step towards AI. To approach the exhibition from different perspectives, the office invited guests from TU Delft, TU Eindhoven, Tygron, XKool, and construction and development companies de Nijs and SBB.

“Immeasureably Important”  will be on display in Alkmaar until May 23 and is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. Afterward, the exhibition will travel across the Netherlands.
